Welcome to our website. I am Mrs Cassiano, the Headteacher of Vernon Terrace. I am very proud of the school and all the school has achieved over the years. At the heart of our school is a strong commitment to inclusion and raising aspirations. We celebrate the rich diversity of our community and recognise every child as an individual with unique strengths, interests and needs. By working holistically, we strive to understand the whole child and create an environment where everyone feels valued, respected and supported.

We believe that children thrive when staff and families work together. With high expectations for behaviour and learning, we collaborate creatively to remove or reduce any barriers that may stand in a child’s way. Every child can achieve great things, and it is our privilege to help them do so.

Our curriculum is broad, balanced and ambitious. Every National Curriculum subject matters, and personal, social, health and economic education is woven throughout all learning. Children are also taught how to keep themselves safe, helping them build confidence, resilience and a strong sense of responsibility.
